Learning Spanish: My 3rd (and hopefully final) attempt.

· 177 words · 1 minute read

Learning a new language is challenging - trust me, I’ve failed numerous times. This is my journal to share my progress both good and bad.

At the end of the day, I’d like to get to achieve a conversational level. For me this bar is important as I feel it’s the MVP to being comfortable. It enables you to spend more time in Spanish-only environments and accelerate your learning & understanding.

I originally intended to write some reflections on my past failures, but after hours of introspection, writing 1000s of words, researching studies, and drawing diagrams… the notion of editing it into a single coherent post was overwhelming enough to put me off writing for a month.

Those thoughts will come later - maybe - probably not 🤷. I tend to overdo things.

Instead I’ll keep this first post short and sweet, so that’s it. Time to learn some Spanish!

I’ll be back in a month with the results, reflections on progress, and goals for the following month!
